Cliffs of Moher

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

With around one million visitors a year the cliffs are one of the most popular tourist destinations of Ireland. There is a visitor centre built into the hillside with good amenities including multimedia information about the history and nature of the surrounding enviroment.

Occasionally it is closed due to overcrowding like this afternoon. Fortunately it is reopened again by the time we get there. Like it or not, we are pleased to have a shelter for the unpredictable heavy rainfalls in between. And a warm cup of coffee.

The strong gusty winds could blow you off your feet.

O’Brien’s Tower marks the highest point of the cliffs: 214m

In the evening we return to Dublin for the flight home next day. Refilled with new energy for the coming week.
