China (August)

It was not an easy decision to make, a choice between Ecuador and China.
Both countries offer lots of things to see and to do. Similar distance from Germany to the west as to the east. Air ticket to Ecuador is slightly more expensive but there is no hassle with the visa, you can enter 90 days per year without visa requirement.

The Chinese ask for an exorbitant fee of 161€ when you apply for a tourist visa by post. However, the application process is straight forward if you don’t ignore the nosy questions like who are your parents and siblings and what they do for living.

A Sunday in the countryside

Ecuador has always been a seismic area. In April 16 there was a major earthquake with 7,8-magnitude and loss of love and life. At the beginning of July 16 there was an afterschock of 6,2 Richter scale. Perhaps it is wiser to go there at later time.
