A night stroll from Qintai road, along the Jin river up to Anshun bridge, northwards to to Chunxi road and from there back to hotel: 8 km distance.

In the parks and along the promenade on both sides of the river you can see bunch of people, mainly women of all ages doing exercise, kind of dance aerobics with interesting choreography. For oneself, you just keep on walking and the sweat dripping down your body continuosly.

At Anshun Bridge, highly illuminated at night and not to be overlooked, there are lots of bars and pubs on both riversides for the night life. The posher north side accomodates Lan Kwai Fong, an agglomerate of everything for the partying folk. It started in Hongkong few decades ago, and now spreads out over major cities in Asia.

Tour through Chengdu on another day: Jinli shopping street and adjacent Wuhou temple at Wuhouci street, 4 bus stops (Bus no. 1) from Huaxiba Metro station. It is a popular site for tourists and locals, worth to look at. A block further you will find the Tibetan living and shopping area. Less touristy and lots of devotional stuffs.

In Wuhou as any other temples: You need to be familiar with Chinese history to be able to value their importance

Kuanzhai Xiangzi alleys.
A change to a similar shopping area in the early evening: The Wide and the Narrow alley, same name as for the Metro station: Kuanzhai Xiangzi alleys. Out of the Metro station you are right at the entrance into another busy, popular and overpriced shopping and leisure area of Chengdu like Jinli.


Ear cleaner: A traditional profession like barbers. They offer their service in public places like teahouse or at gathering of people for leisure or relaxing at a cup of tea. For 30 Yuan a go
