Barranco and Miraflores are both on the shore of the Pacific like Magdalena del Mar. They belong to the better living area of the 43 districts of Lima. Lot of tourists and night-life scene of Lima. Thick fog comes in from the sea in the morning. Barranco is rather contemplative, quiet. Home and working place of many of Peru’s leading artists, musicians, designers and photographers.

Half an hour walk to the north there is Larcomar, a modern shopping mall on the seaside. All the big brands are here: H&M, Desigual and the likes. The sea view is unspectacular: water, a grey and narrow beach , the highway and rocks.
