With around one million visitors a year the cliffs are one of the most popular tourist destinations of Ireland. There is a visitor centre built into the hillside with good amenities including multimedia information about the history and nature of the surrounding enviroment.<\/p>\n

Occasionally it is closed due to overcrowding like this afternoon. Fortunately it is reopened again by the time we get there. Like it or not, we are pleased to have a shelter for the unpredictable heavy rainfalls in between. And a warm cup of coffee.<\/p>\n

The strong gusty winds could blow you off your feet.<\/p>\n

\nO’Brien’s Tower marks the highest point of the cliffs: 214m<\/p>\n

In the evening we return to Dublin for the flight home next day. Refilled with new energy for the coming week.<\/p>\n
